The body of a Far South Side man was pulled from Lake Michigan Tuesday morning in Jackson Park harbor where he’d attended a party on Sunday.
Wayne Gordon, 30, of the 10600 block of South Avenue H, was dead on the scene in the waters in the 6400 block of South Richards Drive.
police were called to a body recovery about 11 a.m.
Officers responded to a call of a missing person by a woman who works as harbor master who told police there was a party at the harbor Sunday which Gordon attended.
When harbor staffers got to work Monday, Gordon’s book bag and bicycle were still there but Gordon's co workers noticed him missing from work and his family was contacted.
An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday and Area Central detectives are conducting a death investigation.
