Police today released a sketch of a man who grabbed a 19-year-old woman in the Cragin neighborhood and tried to drag her into an alley.
The woman was walking in the 2700 block of North Lamon Avenue about 7:40 a.m. on Friday when the man ran up and grabbed her arm from behind.
The man told the woman to come with him, and pulled her toward a nearby alley. When the woman refused to go with him, he hit her in the face and body.
The woman screamed and fought off the man, who then ran away.
The attacker is described as a Hispanic man between the ages of 20 and 25, standing about 5-foot-8, with a slim build and medium complexion. He had slight facial hair and spoke with a faint accent.
At the time of the attack, the man was wearing a hooded sweatshirt, long, gray basketball-style shorts with a white stripe, and white gym shoes
