A Burbank man pleaded guilty today in a crash that killed a 56-year-old grandmother of a dozen children last fall and was sentenced to five years in prison.
Jesus Luna, 52, pleaded guilty to aggravated driving under the influence in an accident that resulted in the death of Judith Bramwell .
Bramwell, of the 5700 block of South St. Louis Avenue, had parked her car on 65 th Street near Pulaski Road and was walking around her car to get to the driver’s door when Luna came driving south on Pulaski on September 22, 2012 about 2 a.m., Simonton said, citing a police report from the time of the accident.
Luna’s vehicle hit Bramwell’s car on the rear left panel, then hit Bramwell, traveled a little farther south and jumped a curb, Simonton said. His vehicle finally came to rest after it crashed into a building.
After he was arrested, Luna was found to have had a .171 blood-alcohol content level.
Bramwell was declared dead at 11:25 p.m. the day of the accident, after being hospitalized at Advocate Christ Medical Center.
Bramwell was the mother of five and grandmother of a dozen

get them back on there land
Don't make this about race. Sure enough crimes and senseless are committed by both and even whites and asians. The Indians had this land first and was taken away by Europeans (whites) . We are a country of immigrants. Everyone's history is from another land including yours. I don't like all of the killings committed by any of the races here. It is a cultural and social problem. This land belongs to no one but the native Americans the Indians.
Totally right!! This scum bag kills someone, ruins life's of many, and only gets 5 years. Yet, drug crimes & political crimes get longer sentencing than 5 years. Obviously it was an accident BUT you should have to pay for your mistakes. & 5 years just doesn't cut it. Judy was a wonderful friend and relative to many. She will never be forgotten! Xoxo
Have you been in a court room lately? Well I have, once a month for for 8 months straight. I'm not racist and stating facts...every single person in the court room (about 30 people each day) were either Mexican or black. Again, every single person. Again, just the stating facts!
It is not an issue of race, plain and simple.
