A 20-year-old man has died two days after being shot in an attack on the South Side in the city's Englewood neighborhood.
Devonte Pearson of the 5700 block of South Carpenter Street was pronounced dead at 1:50 p.m. Friday at Stroger Hospital.
About 8:40 p.m. Wednesday, Pearson was standing on his porch when a group approached and someone opened fire, striking him in his right shoulder
He was taken in critical condition to Stroger where he was pronounced dead two days later.

REST IN PEACE my young brother. I lived on 51st and Aberdeen in the 70's and witnessed many young brothers go before you. The evils that we have experienced are not all of our doing. The ones behind the scenes are being exposed. Nothing last forever, neither death/destruction/corruption or hate. EVERYTHING COMES TO AN END....R.I.P
