Someone fired a gun 17 times toward a man and hit him once in the Bronzeville neighborhood overnight.
The 21-year-old man was a passenger in a car 47th Street about 12:30 a.m. when someone in another car on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive opened fire, leaving shell casings all over the intersection.
The back window of the man's car was shot out and the girlfriend drove him to Garfield Boulevard and Indiana Avenue.
From there the man was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital with a gunshot wound to the head. Police said he was "walking and talking."
The man's girlfriend, driving the car at the time of the attack, was uninjured.

The shooter probably would have had better accuracy and acomplished his goal of multiple hits with a bow and arrow, or better yet gun powder and a musket.......
Dodge sixteen rounds, catch one in the melon and be walking around hours later!!! This guy is my superhero.......
