A 31-year-old man, described by relatives as a devoted father who wrote rap music, was shot to death in the South Side's Gresham neighborhood.
Robert Douglas was shot around 9:50 p.m. in the 7500 block of South Union Avenue. Officers responding to a call of a person shot found Douglas lying unresponsive on the ground.
Douglas, of the 3500 block of West 76th Street, died on the scene.
