Late this morning, a 23-year-old man was fatally wounded in the city's South Shore neighborhood. That shooting happened about 11:52 a.m. on the 7500 block of Yates Boulevard.
The man was shot in the head and the chest and was taken in serious-to-critical condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
He was identified as Cortez Bailey of the 7600 block of South Kingston Avenue

I grew up in that neighborhood. It seems not much has changed since the 90's. It really saddens me. The violence is one of the reasons I joined the military to leave there...

Mr. Bailey was not shot in the head. He was set up and niggas watched it go down. He didn't deserve this at all....REGARDLESS TO WHAT SOME OF THOSE INCONSIDERATE BASTARDS ON THAT END THINK....FOR THOSE WHO DIDN'T SHO NO LOVE......HE WAS STILL LAID TO REST LIKE THE BOSS HE IS.
