Angelo Bennett, of the 4300 block of North Ashland Avenue, faces first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder and aggravated battery/discharge of a firearm for the early Sunday slaying of Charles Jones, 42, and wounding of a 44-year-old woman who was in the passenger's seat of the 2007 Maserati Jones was driving in the 1000 block of North Branch Street
Police said a 2005 Buick LaCrosse sideswiped the 2007 Maserati luxury sedan about 2:50 a.m. before the shooting. Jones had pulled over after the crash and went to speak to the driver of the Buick. The Buick's driver and a passenger then got out of their car, went to another car and then to the Maserati and began shooting

If I had a gun and I also had a 6 foot 4 inch 290 lb man chasing after me after he just split my head open with his fists I would probably shoot him to protect myself too. But on the other hand if I was driving a maserati and some drunk idiot hit my car and took off and I catch him a few blocks later I would probably want to drop some fists on his head too.
