A 15-year-old boy was shot dead tonight in the Gresham neighborhood on the South Side.
The boy, who was shot in the face, has died.
Someone shot the teen about 9 p.m. in the 8600 block of South Ashland Avenue.
Police said three males approached the boy and at least one opened fire, and all three fled on foot.
The 15-year-old was initially taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn
