Four men were shot this afternoon in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.
The victims were standing in the middle of the 5700 block of South Lowe Avenue in front of a residence when a lone gunman confronted them on foot and fired numerous rounds from a semi-automatic handgun hitting all four, police said.
Two of the victims suffered gunshot wounds to their torsos while two others had been shot in their limbs during the 4:15 p.m. attack.
Three adults were taken in serious to critical condition to hospitals while a fourth was in fair condition.
Two of the badly wounded were taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County while the third seriously hurt was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital.
One person was taken in fair condition to Mount Sinai Hospital.
The gunman, described as a dark-skinned black man in his 20s with dreadlocks, standing about 5-foot-11 and wearing a dark colored hoodie, fled on foot
