In shooting in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on the city’s Southwest Side, someone shot a 31-year-old man in the chest in the 6500 block of South Maplewood Avenue, about 2:40 p.m..
Officers responded to a call of a person shot and found two brothers of the victim who told police their sibling had been shot but had no further details.
The 31-year-old man was taken in critical condition to John H. Stroger JR. Hospital of Cook County.
