A shooting took place just before 2:30 p.m., in the 7400 block of South Champlain Avenue in the Park Manor neighborhood.
Following the shooting, two people were taken to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County in serious-to-critical condition, according to the Fire Department. A third was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious-to-critical condition.
A 32-year-old man shot in the chest and a 24-year-old man shot in the leg had their conditions stabilized at Stroger. A 35-year-old man shot in the chest under his arm had his condition stabilized at Northwestern.
The three men were on the street when a man began shooting at them from across the street. The man fled east through a gangway.
The gunman is described as a black man with a light complexion, in his mid-20s, standing about 5-foot-4 and weighing about 140 pounds. He wsa wear a grey t-shirt and dark pants.
