A woman died when her van crashed in the Avondale neighborhood Monday night.
The Nissan van struck a telephone pole and then a tree in the 3200 block of North Elston Avenue around 9:30 p.m..
Ann Kim, 57, of the 2800 block of West Montrose Avenue, was pronounced dead at Advocate Illinois Masonic Hospital, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
No one else was in the van.
