Charges filed in murder of Clemente H.S. student
Authorities filed charges against a 34-year-old man in connection with the
shooting death of an 18-year-old Clemente High School student killed on the West
Side last week.
Larry Luellen Jr., 34, was charged with first degree murder in the death of
Frances Colon.
Luellen lives in the 3900 block of West Division Street in West Humboldt
Park, around the corner from where Colon was shot. Police don't believe she was
the target.
Colon is the third student at Roberto Clemente to be killed this school year,
according to the school's principal Marcey Sorensen.
