About 9 p.m., a 16-year-old was shot as he stood on the corner of East 39th
Street and South Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive in the Bronzeville neighborhood.
Two males approached the boy and one of them fired shots from a handgun.
Two bullets struck the boy in the shoulder. He was taken to John H. Stroger,
Jr. Hospital of Cook County, where he was listed in serious condition.

Hopefully a wake up call for this youngster, a second chance at life, stay off the streets ...and escape the vacuum of Chicago hopefully.
