A 15-year-old boy has been charged with sexually assaulting and robbing a 16-year-old girl in the West Englewood neighborhood this week.
Because he is a juvenile, police declined to identify the suspect, who is cited with aggravated criminal sexual assault and armed robbery
A male she does not know, armed with a gun, confronted the girl and forced her into a gangway in the 6300 block of South Paulina Street at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday.
She was sexually assaulted, and robbed of money and an iPod.
After the attack, the girl was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital, where her condition had stabilized.
The suspect was taken into custody Wednesday and charged as an adult.
