Shootings in Chicago Jan. 5-6, 2013

39-year-old man shot in  West Town
Saturday night about 8:30 p.m., a 39-year-old man was shot in the West Town neighborhood. The man was taken from the 1800 block of West Maypole Avenue to Stroger with a gunshot wound to the buttocks
Man shot during carjacking attempt in Logan Square
A 50-year-old man was shot this morning during an attempted carjacking on the Northwest Side.
The man walked into the 14th District police station at 2150 N. California Avenue and told police of the attempted hijacking in the 3300 block of Wellington Avenue in the Logan Square neighborhood. The man was shot once in the back and was transported to Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center in good condition.
