An off-duty officer was robbed of her SUV and several pieces of service equipment Monday night.
The carjacking happened shortly after 9 p.m. in the 9000 block of South Crandon Avenue, in the Calumet Heights neighborhood on the South Side.
Police said the off-duty officer was approached by three people, one of whom had a black handgun.
The offenders reportedly made off with the officer's 2012 Buick Enclave, her police ID, and two bulletproof vests.
