One shot, one shot dead in West Town neighborhood

Two people were shot and one died in a shooting about 8:04 a.m. today in the 2300 block of West Lake Street in the West Town neighborhood. According to preliminary reports from police, it was a drive-by shooting and the two victims, both males, were transported to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, where one was declared dead.
The slain man was identified as Leonard Phillips, 34, of the 800 block of North St. Louis Avenue
