A 56-year-old man died after he was stabbed multiple times in the Rosemoor
neighborhood Wednesday night.
Someone stabbed him just after 7:10 p.m. in the 10300 block of South Forest
Avenue.
He was pronounced dead at Advocate Christ Medical Center.
Police say a man who opened his door after hearing the screams of a woman
seeking shelter from her husband was stabbed to death Wednesday night in the
Rosemoor neighborhood.
The fight began in the 10300 block of South Forest Avenue about 7 p.m. The
woman fled her husband and ran to a neighbor’s house a couple doors south
The man, identified as William Terry by the Cook County medical examiner's offie
, opened the door and tried to intervene.
His attacker walked back up the block, grabbed two knives from the home where
the fight began, went to back to the house and stabbed the man.
Someone called 911 and reported a “person with a knife” but when police
arrived they found the 55-year-old face down and bleeding.
The attacker is not in custody.
