City preforms more magic with October crime statistics and the media eats it up

From CHICAGO TRIBUNE
In a year in which the rise in homicides has brought unwelcome national attention to Chicago, police on Thursday announced one encouraging statistic: October saw its second lowest number of killings in at least 30 years.
The month ended with 36 homicides, down eight from October 2011 and the second lowest the department has recorded since 1982. The city had 34 homicides in October 2004.

We count 40, but let's all count

Rahm has 9 1/2 fingers, now you know when they count, they count 19 for every 20.

Anonymous said...

That would explain the discrepancy

What about the retired detective who shot and killed his son by Cumberland and foster.... Thought he was a burglar.....

37 and 38 are the same

Thanks for catching the mistake. It has been corrected, the count still stands at 40

A Trip to Chicago
In a mental institution a nurse walks into a room and sees a  patient
acting like he's driving a car.  The nurse asks him, "Charlie, what
are you doing?"

Charlie replied, "Driving to Chicago!"

The nurse wishes him a good trip and leaves the room.

The next day the nurse enters Charlie's room just as he stops driving
his imaginary car and asks, "Well Charlie,  how are you doing?"

Charlie says, "I just got into Chicago".

"Great," replied the nurse.  The nurse leaves Charlie's room and
goes across the hall into Bob's room, and finds Bob sitting on his bed
furiously masturbating. Shocked, she asks, "Bob, what are you doing?!"

Bob exclaims, "I'm screwing Charlie's wife while he's in Chicago!"

Rahm uses his 5 1/2 to count all homicides, and his other hand to count the good things he does, but to make sure he counts the good things twice.

5 and 8 are the same also.

5 and 8 are not the same. One happened Oct. 19 and one happened Oct. 29

What about the retired homicide detective who shot and killed his son? I dont see it on your list..

The detective incident isn't considered a homicide, I think it's considered Involuntary Manslaughter which is why its not on the list
