26-year-old man shot dead in Humbolt Park

At about 6:30 p.m., a 26-year-old man was killed in the 5100 block of West Thomas Street. The man’s car crashed into a tree on the block after he was shot in the shoulder. The bullet passed through his heart, and he was pronounced dead at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County. Police said the man’s wallet had been taken.
