A 23-year-old man was slain late this morning in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South
Side. The assailant was inside a minivan and fired shots which hit the male
victim in the back in the 600 block of West 51st Street in Chicago’s Back of the
Yard neighborhood at 11:43 a.m..
The 23-year-old man was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County
where he was pronounced dead at 12:30 p.m.
