Two teens were wounded in the 6200 block of South Rhodes before 9:30 p.m.. Both were in their mid-to-late teens. One is in "extremely critical" condition with a wound to the
chest, the other is doing slightly better with other multiple wounds. The boy
shot in the chest is was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County
and the other, a year or two older, was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
Richard Modell, 17, died after being taken in "extremely critical" condition
with a gunshot wound to the chest to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook
County. Modell lived about three blocks south of where he was killed
