Fugitive from April killing held on $2M bond

A  fugitive from law enforcement for months, Malcolm Logan appeared Sunday in Cook County Bond Court, where a judge ordered him held in lieu of $2 million bond.
Logan, 27, faces charges of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder in connection with the shooting death of a man on April 12 in the 600 block of West 115th Street in Chicago’s West Pullman neighborhood.
According to court files, Logan allegedly used a .357 caliber semi-automatic pistol to shoot the victim. Logan has numerous drug charges on his criminal record and served time in the Illinois Department of Corrections for aggravated battery of a police officer in 2007.
A former Chicago resident, Logan moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Police arrested Logan in the 16500 block of South Kedzie Avenue in Markham shortly after 11 a.m. Friday.
