CTA thefts up
Thefts on the CTA, a category that includes the snatches of smartphones, tablets
and other electronic devices from transit riders, increased 16 percent in the
first nine months of the year compared with the same period in 2011

Not surprised. If you want to keep your shit then wait till you get off the train to text. I've seen people snatch phones out of other peoples hands. My boyfriend use to make me put my phone away while we rode the green line. He didn't want to have to kick some ass because they didn't know he was with me.
Very true I dont even listen to my ipod when riding the train at certain times of the day. Definately need to be alert and aware of your surroundings at all times. I pity the fool that does try to snatch my shyt Im kicking ass and taking names
