50 year old woman shot while driving down street in Gresham

Just before 6 p.m. a 50-year-old woman was shot as she drove in the 1300 block of West 79th Street.
The woman told police that as she was driving, she heard a shot ring out and realized she was struck in the right side of her face near her cheek .
She was taken in serious condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, but is expected to recover
