What do parents expect? There are alot of safe neighborhoods to live in in this city. You may not be living in the biggest apartment but at least you won't end up having to bury your child. I don't feel sorry for the parents just the child.

The rest of us just watch and are glad we don't live anywhere near Illinois or Chicago.

Keep voting (D) though. It's obviously working for you.

That's an excuse. No one wants to live in fucked up conditions but it's not like we are living in Africa where it is AIDS ridden and property stricken. We are living in Chicago. We live in America. We have freedom to travel and move and protect our childern. When you choose to raise your child in neighborhoods like these you are putting them at risk of becoming a statistic.

Local elections people.....think locally.

State and local politicians have to clean your piece of shit state and city up. The rest of wouldn't care if Chicago just disappeared.

Is not the neighborhoods it's the people in the communities that's causing the trouble. If they move the mentality will also travel to those GREAT new neighborhoods...we as people have to start working on ourselves...
