A 43-year-old man was shot and critically injured early Sunday in the Back of the
Yards neighborhood.
At 12:10 a.m. the victim was walking on a sidewalk in the 4900 block of South
Justine Street when someone inside a light colored car drove past and a gunman
inside fired shots, hitting him in the abdomen.
The man was critically hurt and taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook
County
