33-year-old shot in South Shore

A  man was shot and critically wounded this evening on the city's South Side.
The 33-year-old victim was shot on the right side of his face at about 8 p.m. in the 2600 block of East 79th Street in the South Chicago neighborhood.
The victim was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition
A gunman, wearing a "puffy" black jacket, fled the scene on foot
