16-year-old shot in South Shore

A 16-year-old shot in the back three times Sunday afternoon. The shooting happened about 6:45 p.m. Sunday on the 7400 block of South East End Avenue. The teen was with two men and a woman on the corner when one male, from a group of four across the street, stepped away and started shooting. The boy was hit three times and one of his acquaintances drove him to South Shore Hospital. He left, went home, and someone called an ambulance for him, which took him to Northwestern Memorial Hospital
