A woman who was found dead in her Bronzeville neighborhood home this morning has
been identified.
Katrina Rogers, 38, of the 5000 block of South Prairie Avenue, was dead on
the scene inside the building where she lived, at the bottom of a flight of
stairs.
She was
found about 8:35 a.m..
Detectives are conducting a death investigation.
An
autopsy is scheduled for Friday that will determine the cause and manner of her
death.
Officers initially were called to the Prairie address for a battery but found
the woman unresponsive with multiple injuries to her body, said Officer Veejay
Zala, a spokesman for the Chicago Police.
