Someone fatally shot a 17-year-old boy in the head tonight in the Pill Hill
neighborhood on the Far South Side.
The boy was shot in
the 9200 block of South Chappel Avenue.
The victim was taken to Advocate Christ Medical
Center in Oak Lawn where he was pronounced dead.
No one else was wounded in the shooting,
which happened about 6:15 p.m.
Seventeen-year-old Derrick Davis, who lived one block north of where he was
killed, was shot in the 9200 block of South Chappel Avenue about 6:15 p.m.
