Man shot dead in West Pullman

A male was shot to death in the 12200 block of South Ada Street, at about 8:30 p.m. after someone tried to rob him and another person behind a residence in the 12200 block of South Ada Street in the West Pullman neighborhood. Alex Benison was pronounced dead at the scene about 9 p.m.. He lived on the same street less than one block north of where he was shot.
