32-year-old man shot in Austin

A 32-year-old man was shot in the abdomen about 8:08 p.m. in the 300 block of North Central Avenue in the South Austin neighborhood, Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Darryl Baety said. He's in serious condition at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, Baety said. Early reports from police indicate the man was wounded during a robbery.
