Three people were shot tonight in the Bronzeville neighborhood on the South
Side.
The shooting occurred about 6:30 p.m. in the 4700 block of South Cottage
Grove Avenue and wounded three people including a 13-year-old.
Paramedics took one person who was seriously hurt to John H. Stroger Jr.
Hospital of Cook County while a second person was taken to Mercy Hospital and
Medical Center in fair condition.
A third person, a 13-year-old boy, suffered a graze wound. The
other two were both shot in their legs: an 18-year-old boy taken to Mercy
hospital and a 20-year-old taken to Stroger hospital.
