20-year-old man shot in Heart of Chicago

A 20-year-old man was shot by someone in a dark sedan about 1 a.m. in the 2100 block of Wood Street in the Heart of Chicago neighborhood. Police said the man was asked "What’s up," with no mention of gang salutation or inquiry into his own possible gang affiliation before someone pointed a revolver at him and opened fire. A friend drove him to Stroger hospital, where his condition has stabilized
