A 23-year-old Cicero man has been charged with 14 felonies related to a string of
attempted criminal sexual assaults and robberies in Logan Square.
Vidal Rainey was arrested in the 5300 block of West Washington Boulevard
earlier this week after police put out an alert and sketch. A weapon was
recovered.
Rainey is charged with seven counts of armed robbery, two counts of attempted
criminal sexual assault with a weapon, two counts fo aggravated unlawful
restraint, one count of robbery, one count of attempted aggravated robbery, and
one count of attempted armed robbery.
The first attack happened at 1:30 a.m. July 11 in the 1700 block of North
Humboldt Boulevard. A 29-year-old woman was confronted by a man who displayed a
knife and demanded money.
