Two victims were robbed within 20 minutes about 5 blocks from each other in the
Bridgeport neighborhood.
Both
attacks took place in the first hour of Thursday morning, and involved three
robbers who approached an adult male victim walking alone on the street and used
a weapon or the threat of force to take property.
The first robbery took place at 12:40 a.m. on the 2900 block of
South Canal Street and the second at 1 a.m. on the 2800 block of South Wells
Street.
The alert says descriptions of
the three robbers vary, but in general appear to be young black men 16-20 years old,
5-foot-8 to 5-foot-11 and 155-160 pounds. One robber had black hair in a
dreadlocks hairstyle
