Two 16-year-old boys were killed and another teen was wounded this afternoon in
a shooting on the West Side in the city’s East Garfield Park neighborhood.
The attack happened shortly before 1 p.m. on the 600 block of North
Avers Avenue.
Preliminary
reports said three 16-year-olds were shot at the scene and two of those teens
died.
The identities of the deceased teens were not
released pending family notification.

I grew up in the 500 Blk of Avers when we fought one day & played together the next. Prayers for the families of these young men. Praying for ALL the youth around the world.

It's the adults, parents, and communities faults (excluding those who actually try) that some kids don't have a future! Too many are not taking care of their responsibilities like they should forcing some kids to have to take care of themselves. The lil girls (some) are not being taught to lovethemselves & their body is a temple! Boys are sensitive as hell now& don't know da meaning of words don't! That's y they want to shoot every body! Our kid need to be taught that THERE IS A CONSEQUENCE 4 EVERY ACTION, WHETHER IT'S GOOD OR BAD! AS ADULTS WE NEED TO STEP UP TO HELP, EDUCATE, & SAVE OUR CHILDREN!
