Police have released a sketch of a man wanted for two attempted sexual
assaults within minutes of each other earlier this month in the Logan Square
neighborhood.
The first attack happened at 1:30 a.m. July 11 in the 1700 block of North
Humboldt Boulevard. A 29-year-old woman was confronted by a man who displayed a
knife and demanded money.
He then forced her into the entryway of her building and tried to assault
her. He fled when she screamed for help.
In the second attack -- about 1:55 a.m. also on July 11 -- a woman found a
man inside her kitchen in the 1900 block of North Drake Avenue. He had a knife
and tried to assault her. He ran away when she began
yelling.
The suspect is described by police as a black man between the ages of 23 and
28 with dreadlocks. He is 6-foot-1 to 6-foot-3 and weighs about 175 pounds. He
has a medium complexion and a tattoo of a teardrop below his right eye.
Anyone with information should call police at 312-744-8261.
