A male was critically wounded this afternoon in a shooting on the South Side in
the city's South Chicago neighborhood.
The shooting happened shortly after 3 p.m. on the 7900 block of South
Kingston Avenue.
According to preliminary reports, the victim was shot in the face.
The person was taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center
in Oak Lawn

pair of gunmen rushed a Dolton man and fatally shot him on the street in the
South Shore nieghborhood on the South Side, police say.
Marshall Knights, 21, was standing on the sidewalk in the 7800 block of South
Colfax Avenue about 3 p.m. Tuesday when the two men emerged from an alley and
ran toward him, firing their handguns, .
Knights was struck in the back and managed to run a block before collapsing, police said. He was
taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced
dead at 4:10 p.m.
The two men fled in a dark green SUV with a red top, police said. Authorities
had only vague descriptions of the shooters
