About 3:15 a.m. in the 1300 block of South Millard Avenue in the Lawndale
neighborhood, three men were shot.
Police were called to the area following a report of a person shot and
arrived on scene to find a large group of people on the street.
Neither those on-scene, nor those shot, would cooperate with police
One 32-year-old man who was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital after being shot in
the back was being treated in critical condition. A second 32-year-old man had
his condition stabilized after being shot in the right leg and arriving at Mount
Sinai in a private vehicle.
A third man, 22, arrived at the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical
Center in a private vehicle but was in serious condition after being transferred
to Stroger Hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds to the abdomen and thigh
