Two victims, ages 15 and 19, were wounded multiple times in a vacant lot in the
4100 block of West Van Buren Street, about two blocks north of the Eisenhower
Expressway, at about 8:12 p.m.
The older teen, Myrion Currie, suffered several wounds to the
chest and was taken to John H. Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The 15-year-old,
was struck in the chest and arm, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious
condition.
Police had little to go on because the surviving victim was uncooperative
with investigators
