A CTA
bus driver was cited for failing to yield after colliding with a Roseland
neighborhood motorcyclist who died seven hours after the Friday morning accident
in the South Loop.
Timothy S. Payne, 31, of the 10700
block of South Forest Avenue, was pronounced dead at 2:16 p.m. Friday at Northwestern
Memorial Hospital.
The victim was riding a motorcycle northbound on Michigan Avenue
when a CTA bus that was southbound struck him as it was making a left hand turn
in the 600 block of South Michigan Avenue.
It happened about 7:20 a.m. Friday.
