Man dies from wounds suffered in April shooting on South Side

A man has died after he suffered a gunshot wound while riding in a car with several other people in the Back of the Yards neighborhood in late April.
Armando Garza, 27, of the 5300 block of South Kilpatrick Avenue, was declared dead at 10:02 a.m. Sunday at Mount Sinai Hospital, after suffering a gunshot wound to the spine.
The victim was shot late in the neck on April 30 in the 4500 block of South Throop Street.
The victim was a rear-seat passenger in a car about 10:25 p.m. April 30 when someone ran out of a gangway and opened fire on the car, which was carrying the victim and four other people
