A 22-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy were shot in the West Englewood
neighborhood this afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to the intersection of 75th Street and
Ashland Avenue about 2:50 p.m.where two people had been shot.
A 15-year-old boy suffered a gunshot wound to the ankle and was taken in good
condition to University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital while a 22-year-old
was shot in the side was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
The two were walking in the area when a man or boy came up and shot at them
several times. The man
was in serious condition at Christ Medical Center.
