One man was fatally shot and another man was critically wounded in the Little
Village neighborhood early this morning.
The men were in a car that had struck a tree on the 2500 block of South
Kildare Avenue at 2:43 a.m.
Police responded to a call of shots being fired and when they arrived they
found that both men in the car had been shot.
John Kouzios, 33, of the 3000 block of South Kedvale Avenue, was pronounced
dead at the scene.
A 42-year-old man who was with him inside the vehicle was taken in critical
condition to Mount Sinai Hospital
