Jealousy apparently sparked a West Side shooting that left a man hospitalized in
serious condition this afternoon.
The gunman became angered
when a 26-year-old began talking to his girlfriend, so he shot him about 4:10
p.m. in the 4100 block of West Wilcox Street.
The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen
and he was taken to John
H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County where his condition was serious.
One person is being questioned for the shooting, but no
charges have been filed early Friday night

That's didn't happen the girl didn't even know the guy he's not from the neighborhood none of the other guys he was with was. The gunman was having a drink with his friends walking apparently the girl had on a small dress which caught his attention he walked over and ask the girl for some of her food. Apparently she didn't know him she ask the victim did he know him he said no. They started arguing the victim walks away the gunman runs behind him the girl runs behind the gunman. She's telling the gunman friend get your friend the gun man pulls out the gun points it at her. The victim pushes her back stepping in front he grabs her now their running together down the street. The gunman drank out his bottle began running behind putting the gun back in his pocket. Their on the corner girl walks off on cell phone victim jogs through vacant lot shooter is halfway in lot shoots once runs through next empty lot but gets caught with weapon. I know i lived over here all my life it happened right in front of my house. I know those two were together anytime they were over here they've been together for years over here I have never seen him/her with any other person they was always together. Mazda51
