An Officer fired on man who shot at people on South Side porchOne man was being
questioned after a Chicago police officer saw him shooting at several people on
a porch in the Grand Crossing neighborhood this afternoon.
The officer saw the man firing on people on a front porch in the
7900 block of South Ellis Avenue about 2:20 p.m., and when the officer announced
who he was, the man pointed the gun at him and the officer fired shots.
The gunman ran off, but
after the officer called in a description of the attacker to police dispatchers,
other officers were able to arrest him.
A handgun was found
